For more than 10 years now, TCHIKEBE has been printing and publishing contemporary works of art using screen printing. By working directly with renowned artists it produces original works with the ambition of making excellence accessible to a wide audience. Founded in 2009 by Julien and Olivier Ludwig-Legardez brothers, Tchikebe was created out of the desire to become a dynamic actor in contemporary creation. Since then, he has continued to multiply partnerships and contribute to the influence of many talents.
Located in the heart of Marseille, the studio benefits from the effervescency of this Mediterranean city. The space it occupies is both a place of production and exhibition. This combination allows to see the works up close while immersing oneself in the screen printing process. Despite its bond to the south of France, TCHIKEBE develops projects with worldwide artists.

Our work with Myriam Mechita began in 2019 with a first series of three screenprints. Given the success, this partnership was repeated this year. Myriam once again came to Marseille to work with us and give her work another dimension through screen printing. It is this new series of three works that we invite you to discover on the occasion of the E/AB Fair 2020.
Myriam Mechita was born in 1974 in Strasbourg. She lives and works between Paris and Berlin in addition to teaching at the School of Fine Arts in Caen. Myriam Mechita's work captures the most contradictory feelings. The artist nourishes existential dualities, the tension of which is palpable and causes a feeling of strangeness. The contortionist, the beheaded and the animal are recurring motifs in her work as symbols of a relation to the body or as a state of mind.
